The following statement was made by one of our customers:

I had a run-away cart!

I am an adult owner of a Straight Line "Trail Buster" Kart with a 13 H.P. engine.

Recently, I was riding my kart on a field adjacent to my home. I had stopped awhile and was pull starting my engine. The engine started, and the kart took off! I grabbed the kart to stop it, twisting my back. I could not hold the kart which rapidly took off, smashing into an aluminum shed causing damage and then into refuse containers where I was able to catch up to the kart and hit the kill switch. My physician gave me medication for my back injury.

My dealer found the torque converter had malfunctioned, causing the run-away. I told my dealer that I wish the my kart had an electric start engine. Had I been sitting in the kart I could have prevented the run-away. 

My dealer donated a product that they manufacture called a "Start-R-Up". Now I can be securely seated in the Kart, reach up and pull start the engine! It's great!  I had thought about getting rid of my kart. Now I do not have to worry about a run-away. I can relax and have fun! The "Start-R-Up" even makes the kart look better. It is certainly the next best starting system to an electric start engine and is now much safer!
